Freedom means a lot to different people. If you are an entrepreneur, then you know that freedom, specifically, entrepreneurial freedom, is the first core value. Robert Hirsch, the man behind Freedom Factory, one of the highly reputable brokerage firms in the country, defined entrepreneurial freedom as the ability to do what you want, when you want, with whom you wish to, as often as you want. When he was in his 20s, he was having the time of his life. Robert owned his time and break the time for money equation. He was doing it differently from the rest. While everybody else was working nine-to-six, Robert was working his own schedule – that’s how he defined freedom back then.
As he gets older and wiser, his definition of freedom changed. He then realized freedom is not about drifting from one thing to another. It is all about knowing your purpose and being in a place where your passion and purpose aligned. He figured out the things he wants to do for the rest of his productive life. Just when he thought he was in full control of his life, Robert suffered a rare form of leukemia. It was a tough time of his life – he endured 22 injections and chemotherapy. Now that he is back to being healthy, he figured out the things he wants to do, and that is to let his passion and purpose create the most significant impact on others.
Robert assessed the things he could do and what he couldn’t. He started with the who and the figure out what he wants to do. For him, he figured out he wants to help entrepreneurs with the most important deal of their life. He wants to positively affect the growth of entrepreneurs and the people that rely on them. In other words, he wants to help the helpers, and he made it possible through Freedom Factory.
